Marla Mesenbrink

I have  taught piano both in private and class lessons for 40 years which included teaching at Lewis-Clark State College and the University of Idaho.  I received my Bachelor of Music Degree from BSBC and my Masters of Music Degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance Studies from the University of Idaho.  I am an active member of the Canadian Registered Music Teachers Association and am certified through the Music Teacher’s National Association and The Royal Conservatory which requires me to maintain a high level of teaching and continued training. I am an approved lesson provider for HCOS which requires a clear criminal record check and can use HCOS student's funding.

As a mother of four, I understand the demands of family life and children’s learning styles and see the potential in every student.   Being classically trained with a pedagogy emphasis, having extensive worship music and improvising experience along with the love of children and teaching, I am able provide quality instruction with a variety of music styles.
